Recommended Applications :

Vanilla Tahitens

Tahitian vanilla beans from Indonesia are generally plumper, and contain a much higher oil and water content than Bourbon beans. The aroma is flowery, fruity with a smooth flavor. They are often described as smelling like licorice, cherries, or wine. Gourmet pastry chefs love to work with the Tahitian (Tahitensis) variety, which are perfect for many applications. There are approximately 130-140 beans per pound.

Vanilla Paste

Vanilla bean paste consists of actual seeds that come from a vanilla bean pod. It's made up of a blend of vanilla bean powder and vanilla bean extract, and has a consistency similar to that of glue.

Handling / Storage :

Store at 40-70F in a tightly sealed original container. Avoid prolonged exposure to light, heat and air

Vanilla Extract

Vanilla extract is made by soaking vanilla beans with a mixture of alcohol and water. This reddish-brown soaking water is then used to add flavor and aroma in cooking. On the market there are also Vanilla Essence, made in a way that is similar to vanilla extract, there are also those that do not use alcohol, but more mixed chemicals. Vanilla extract can be added directly into the mixture, it can also be added to drinks.
